Iron ore concentrate prices in Tangshan rose again, with ex-factory prices for 66% grade dry basis concentrates including tax at 990-1,000 yuan/mt. Steel mills remained cautious about price increases, while the flow of resources from Chengde to Tangshan slowed down. However, ore dressing plants maintained firm offers due to cost pressures. Current market transactions were relatively sluggish. Given that mine and market offers were significantly higher than some steel mills' purchase prices, mills mainly purchased as needed. Iron ore futures dropped slightly today, with weaker bullish sentiment in the market. SMM Steel expects local iron ore concentrate prices to fluctuate in the short term.
